Niguliste Muuseum

Tallinna vanalinna lõunaosas, keskaegse turuplatsi ja Toompea paekõrgendiku vahel, seisab Niguliste kirik. Endises pühakojas asub tänapäeval Niguliste muuseum, üks Eesti Kunstimuuseumi filiaalidest. Siinne kesk- ja varauusaegse kirikukunsti ekspositsioon on kõige olulisem ja suurem vanema sakraalkunsti kollektsioon Eestis. Külastusel tutvutakse nii püsiekspositsiooniga, mille hulka kuulub Bernt Notke maalitud “Surmatants”, kui ka näitusega “Neitsi Maarja. Naine, ema, kuninganna”. Samuti tutvutakse muuseumi haridustöö- ja programmidega.

Niguliste Museum

In the southern part of the Old Town of Tallinn, between the Town Hall Square and the Toompea Hill, stands St. Nicholas’ Church. The former church today houses the Niguliste Museum, one of the branches of the Art Museum of Estonia. The exposition of ecclesiastical art from the Medieval and Early Modern periods presented here is the most significant and extensive collection of church art in Estonia. Your visit to Niguliste museum will be focused on permanent exhibition including masterpieces such as the Danse Macabre painted by Bernt Notke, and we will also visit the temporary exhibition “The Virgin Mary: Woman, Mother, Queen”. There will also be an introduction to our educational work and educational programmes.

Vabamu

Vabamu on kaasav muuseum eestlaste lähiajaloost, inimlikest väärtustest ning kodaniku rollist vabaduse hoidmisel, kus räägitakse mõtlemapaneval viisil lihtsate inimeste liigutavaid lugusid. Muuseumi uus ja kaasaegne püsinäitus pakub tegevust ja mõtteainet igas vanuses inimestele. Muuseumikülastuse käigus tutvustame nii Vabamu püsinäitust kui ka muuseumis toimuvaid haridustegevusi. Seal hulgas teeme läbi mõned praktilised ülesanded muuseumitunnist „Sõja mõju üksikisikule“.

Vabamu Museum of Occupations and Freedom

Vabamu Museum of Occupations and Freedom is an inclusive museum of the recent history of Estonians, human values and the role of the citizen in preserving freedom, in which the moving stories of ordinary people are told in a thoughtful way. The museum's new and contemporary permanent exhibition offers activities and ideas for people of all ages. During the visit we will introduce both the permanent exhibition of the Vabamu and the educational activities taking place in the museum. Among other things, we will do some practical tasks from the museum lesson "The Impact of War on the Individual".
